Session cookie you thought ... (context: Webview)

 

Whenever I created a session cookie, I wanted it to die when the browser closes (enforcing new login in case of new browser)

I was under the assumption that if loading my web page in a webview than when closing the app it would act the same..... I was wrong....

By default session cookie are NOT deleted/expired on android and you need to call CookieManager.removeSessionCookies

while the impact of this is reallt low, still it's an important aspect to know when comparing running in browsr vs webview.
