Microsoft Sync Framework

Microsoft Sync Framework is a comprehensive synchronization platform enabling collaboration and offline for applications, services and devices with support for any data type, any data store, any transfer protocol, and network topology.

If you are reading this item than I am sure that:

  1. Your company is syncing information (SQL, File, AD, etc).
  2. You company wrote proprietary code to handle the sync operation.

Currently you will get out of the box some providers:

  1. File system
  2. ADO.NET

I suggest that you start by reading the "Introduction to the Microsoft Sync Framework Runtime".

I am very excited about this new framework and I will start blogging about this in the near future (and using :))
